Terms
The agreement between you and Thousand Pikes Arsenal when you buy from us, send a transfer in, or use this site. Plain language; nothing hidden.
Who can buy
Federal law sets the floor; we follow it. You must be 18 or older to purchase a long gun or ammunition, and 21 or older to purchase a handgun. You must not be a person prohibited from possessing a firearm under federal or Virginia state law. ATF Form 4473 is completed in person at the time of receipt — your answers there are the legal record.
We may also refuse a sale at our discretion when we have reason to. If we do, we'll tell you why and refund you in full on the spot.
How orders work
When you place an order through this site, you're authorizing us to source the items, charge your selected payment method, and route them to the destination you chose at checkout — pickup at our counter, an FFL of your choosing, or a residential address for non-firearm items. Stripe holds your card details; we never see them.
Items that aren't in stock are ordered from our suppliers on your behalf. Lead times for ordered-to-spec items are typically 1–3 weeks. We'll email you if anything pushes that window meaningfully.
FFL transfers
If you bought a firearm from another dealer and need it shipped to us, our FFL information is on the FFL transfer page. Once it arrives, we log it in, text you, and you book a pickup window. Transfer fees: $35 long gun · $45 handgun, plus the Virginia State Police background-check fee ($2/$5 depending on type). Paid on receipt.
NICS (federal background check) typically clears in minutes. By federal law it can take up to three business days; very occasionally it does. If your check delays past that window, we'll follow ATF's process for proceed-delayed-denied dispositions.
Cancellation and changes
You can cancel an in-flight order any time before it ships or, for pickup orders, before it's transferred. Email [email protected] with your order ID. Refunds reverse to the original payment method within 5–10 business days; cash refunds happen at the counter.
Once a firearm has been transferred to you (FFL paperwork completed, you've taken possession), the sale is final. See Returns for defect handling.
Site use
This site is for browsing our catalog, sending transfers in, requesting custom work, and booking appointments. It's not for harassing the shop or other customers, scraping our catalog for resale, or attempting to circumvent our refusal-of-service decisions. We block accounts and IPs at our discretion for abuse.
Liability
We sell legally to people who can lawfully buy. What you do with what you buy is on you. Firearms are inherently dangerous tools; treat them as such. Read the owner's manual; take a class if you haven't; store responsibly. We'll teach safe handling at your appointment if you want it.
The site is provided as-is. We strive for accurate pricing and availability but real-time stock changes; if a price posted here turns out to be wrong, we'll honor it where reasonable or refund the difference.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, the effective date at the top of this page changes and the prior version is archived. Material changes get an email notice to anyone with an active order.
